What this site records, why, and how to stop it.
What we collect
This site uses one analytics tool: Google Analytics 4. When it is switched on for you, each page view sends Google the page URL, the referrer, your country (not your city), your device type, your browser language and screen size, and an IP address that Google handles under its own data-processing terms. A first-party cookie keeps a random client identifier so your visits are not counted twice.
It does not receive your name, any email address, or anything you type into the moon calculator — the calculator runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing.
Why
To see which pages are actually useful. Nothing else. There are no ads on this site, no cross-site tracking, no audience resale, and no advertising features of any kind — the advertising consent channels in the analytics tag are switched off permanently, not just for now.
Consent
If you are visiting from the EU, the EEA (Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein) or the UK, analytics stays off until you turn it on with the banner at the bottom of the page. Until you choose, Google receives only a limited, modelled count of page views — no cookie and no identifier.
Everyone else has analytics on by default, because the law in most places does not require a consent banner for it — and this page is how you switch it off. Your choice is remembered on this device.

Alternatively, block the domains googletagmanager.com andgoogle-analytics.com in your browser or ad blocker and the tag cannot run at all.
Retention and your rights
Google expires raw analytics data after two months and keeps only aggregated figures after that. If you want to know exactly what has been recorded for you, or want it deleted, write tostephenw@aallc.tech — the site owner — and it will be done.
